Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. PROHIBITION ON MAKING COMPARISONS UNDER THE JONES ACT. The Secretary of Defense, when making cost analysis or business comparisons between United States and foreign bases for the supply of United States Navy activities, may not use shipping cost differentials that are attributable to the application of the Merchant Marine Act, 1920 (46 U.S.C. App. 861 et seq.) to the United States bases. <all>
