     To reauthorize the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Patent and Trademark Office 
Reauthorization Act''.

SEC. 2. PATENT AND TRADEMARK OFFICE FUNDING.

    Section 42 of title 35, United States Code, is amended--
            (1) in subsection (b), by striking ``Appropriation''; and
            (2) in subsection (c), in the first sentence--
                    (A) by striking ``To the extent'' and all that 
                follows through ``fees'' and inserting ``Fees''; and
                    (B) by striking ``to the Director'' and inserting 
                ``until expended''.
