                   ORDERS FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 6, 2006

  Mr. FRIST. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the 
Senate completes its business today, it stand in adjournment until 9:30 
a.m., Thursday, April 6. I further ask unanimous consent that following 
the prayer and pledge, the morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal 
of proceedings be approved to date, the time for the two leaders be 
reserved, and the Senate resume consideration of S. 2454, the border 
security bill, with the time from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. equally 
divided between the managers or their designees, and the Senate then 
proceed to a vote on the motion to invoke cloture, as under the 
previous order; further, I ask that the mandatory quorum under rule 
XXII be waived and that second-degree amendments be filed at the desk 
no later than 10:30 a.m., pursuant to rule XXII.
