       Mr. THOMPSON of Mississippi: Committee on Homeland 
     Security. H.R. 1517. A bill to allow certain U.S. customs and 
     Border Protection employees who serve under an overseas 
     limited appointment for at least 2 years, and whose service 
     is rated fully successful or higher throughout that time, to 
     be converted to a permanent appointment in the competitive 
     service; with an amendment (Rept. 111-373 Pt. 1). Referred to 
     the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union.
       Mr. WAXMAN: Committee on Energy and Commerce. H.R. 1084. A 
     bill to require the Federal Communications Commission to 
     prescribe a standard to preclude commercials from being 
     broadcast at louder volumes than the program material they 
     accompany; with an amendment (Rept. 111-374). Referred to the 
     Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union.

       Mr. WAXMAN: Committee on Energy and Commerce. H.R. 1147. A 
     bill to implement the recommendations of the Federal 
     Communications Commission report to the Congress regarding 
     low-power FM service; with an amendment (Rept. 111-375). 
     Referred to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of 
     the Union.


                         DISCHARGE OF COMMITTEE

  Pursuant to clause 2 of rule XIII the Committee on Oversight and 
Government Reform discharged from further consideration. H.R. 1517 
referred to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union, 
and ordered to be printed.
