		<section id="HF9011889CA554ADCAA780C1A4914A778" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Conveyance of decommissioned
			 Coast Guard Cutter STORIS</header>
			<subsection id="HB8223B7C3EDE42A88CFC55E1AA7B4305"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Commandant of the
			 Coast Guard shall convey, without consideration, all right, title, and interest
			 of the United States in and to the decommissioned Coast Guard Cutter STORIS to
			 the Storis Museum, a nonprofit entity of Juneau, Alaska, if the Storis Museum
			 agrees—</text>
				<paragraph id="H7DA2B658A3E9421EA2BBAF3D400B0537"><enum>(1)</enum><text>to use the vessel
			 as a historic memorial and to make the Coast Guard Cutter STORIS available to
			 the public as a museum and to work cooperatively with other museums to provide
			 education and memorialize the maritime heritage of the vessel and other
			 maritime activities in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the Arctic Ocean, and
			 adjacent oceans and seas;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HE9EADD2AAD5F480280C926CABB53CC71"><enum>(2)</enum><text>not to use the
			 vessel for commercial transportation purposes;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3141FBC6FF4E4BEA820E824C1612FDE8"><enum>(3)</enum><text>to make the vessel
			 available to the United States Government if needed for use by the Commandant
			 in time of war or a national emergency or based on the critical needs of the
			 Coast Guard;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H9360FA21767244F290554FE261917AE5"><enum>(4)</enum><text>to hold the
			 Government harmless for any claims arising from exposure to hazardous
			 materials, including asbestos and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), except for
			 claims arising from the use of the vessel by the Government;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H11F91176523F4AB3B0792DF9D4EDE11C"><enum>(5)</enum><text>to bear all costs
			 of transportation and delivery of the vessel;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HA15313E002D84A7FBFC5CF531EBF956C"><enum>(6)</enum><text>to bear all costs
			 of vessel disposal in accordance with Federal law when the vessel is no longer
			 used as a museum; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HA6DA611CCDB44B5DB44589929A5FBFB6"><enum>(7)</enum><text>to any other
			 conditions the Commandant considers appropriate.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H8C9133C46D684F228A3F3AB516F5DBCC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Maintenance and
			 delivery of vessel</header>
				<paragraph id="H6678AE5C83974BA192D0D964CBD2A841"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Maintenance</header><text>Before
			 conveyance of the Coast Guard Cutter STORIS under this section, the Commandant
			 shall make, to the extent practical and subject to other Coast Guard mission
			 requirements, every effort to maintain the integrity of the vessel and its
			 equipment until the time of delivery.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HE9E3B46A1AE749018319C1A9A188ADC5"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Treatment of
			 conveyance</header><text>The conveyance of the Coast Guard Cutter STORIS under
			 this section shall not be considered a distribution in commerce for purposes of
			 section 6(e) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (15 U.S.C. 2605(e)).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H0D1750C9B9324CFB913DB21A274EE7DB"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Other excess
			 equipment</header><text>The Commandant may convey to the recipient of the Coast
			 Guard Cutter STORIS under this section any excess equipment or parts from other
			 decommissioned Coast Guard vessels for use to enhance the vessel’s operability
			 and function for purposes of a public museum and historical display.</text>
