 <section id="HD87F0154B2D444DC95328B4FAA84E3EC" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Supporting America’s Innovators Act of 2016</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="HE9D7344278F540359113B944DD7D2130"><enum>2.</enum><header>Investor limitation for qualifying venture capital funds</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3(c)(1) of the Investment Company Act of 1940 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/80a-3">15 U.S.C. 80a–3(c)(1)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H1B7D94B8105346E3AE88264170D3A69A"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting after <quote>one hundred persons</quote> the following: <quote>(or, with respect to a qualifying venture capital fund, 250 persons)</quote>; and</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="H434058DD03764B7FBEC130BBC01EC4AC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>

 <subparagraph id="H4EC513CFED1745B88F9CD180C3FCE641"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <quote>qualifying venture capital fund</quote> means any venture capital fund (as defined pursuant to section 203(l)(1) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/80b-3">15 U.S.C. 80b–3(l)(1)</external-xref>) with no more than $10,000,000 in invested capital, as such dollar amount is annually adjusted by the Commission to reflect the change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the Department of Labor.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
