 <section id="HE28B396241904026BF7AE15515B0DED9"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Connected Government Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H87323FBD85A645DD8FD047F0891181DE"><enum>2.</enum><header>Federal websites required to be mobile friendly</header> <subsection id="HC81E4B0BE0D342AA9161A0C3010039A2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>If, on or after the date that is 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, an agency creates a website that is intended for use by the public or updates a website that is intended for use by the public, the agency shall ensure that the website is mobile friendly.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H5B1270A971F74EC194E01025DDD0FEF8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>OMB Report</header><text>Not later than 18 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, in consultation with the Administrator of General Services, shall make publicly available and submit to Congress a report that describes the implementation of the requirement described under subsection (a) and assesses the compliance of each agency with such requirement.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="HB85F6DBDEE304366AE6B71F9F36E17E1"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text> <paragraph id="HB4FB8CB7E9B24850B41CE4BC58869536"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Agency</header><text>The term <quote>agency</quote> has the meaning given that term in section 551 of title 5, United States Code.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H165FFA52F17C4113A3D66547308712C6"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Mobile friendly</header><text>The term <quote>mobile friendly</quote> means, with respect to a website, that the website is configured in such a way that the website may be easily navigated and viewed on a smartphone, tablet computer, or similar mobile device.</text>
