 <section id="H0251A66CED6E44A7BD01538A34CE389D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Kennedy–King National Commemorative Site Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H902F4364D356488E9E7B7497A2CB009E"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
 <paragraph id="HFA5A39FE651E459990EF28DEE45D2FBD"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="H4190F3F0888F4B55A31263CF32E44104"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Site</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>Site</term> means the Kennedy-King National Commemorative Site as designated by section 3(a).</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H83541AAF341E470D9740DE1E0A035689"><enum>(3)</enum><header>State</header><text>The term <term>State</term> means the State of Indiana.</text> </paragraph></section><section id="H2C4554C819AD433481E0D814DF60CA49"><enum>3.</enum><header>National commemorative site</header> <subsection id="H5DF7FA58FAB54A7D831B0012056EAE85"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Designation</header><text>The Landmark for Peace Memorial in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in Indianapolis, in the State, is hereby designated as the Kennedy-King National Commemorative Site.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="HD8E9867B4CBE48F0B2A20C5042E97F4C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>African American Civil Rights Network</header><text>The Site shall be part of the African American Civil Rights Network established under <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/115/104">Public Law 115–104</external-xref>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HE844696D71524DAB830FFCBFF2FE7F12"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Administration</header>
 <paragraph id="H25D2C3FE98454F99900662B5BB2DA8A6"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Cooperative agreements</header><text>The Secretary may enter into cooperative agreements with appropriate public or private entities for interpretative and educational purposes related to the Site.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HD7B21F1155B34E8893CF57F09CBA9FCA"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Effect of designation</header><text>The Site shall not be a unit of the National Park System.</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="HF4696C3D517C4B2CB509BCEA89D7DFFE"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Limitations</header><text>Nothing in this Act—</text>
 <subparagraph id="HE00015BDFF0F463AB17E1983BB6A682A"><enum>(A)</enum><text>authorizes the Secretary to interfere with the rights of any person with respect to private property or any local zoning ordinance or land use plan of the State or any political subdivision thereof; or</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H07947B8734024A48A15327323029135A"><enum>(B)</enum><text>authorizes the Secretary to acquire land or interests in land through condemnation or otherwise.</text> </subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HF4DD8265D9E44752AD892E56E1F780CB"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Special resource study</header><text>The Secretary shall conduct a special resource study of the Site to evaluate the national significance of the Site and determine the suitability and feasibility of designating the Site as a unit of the National Park System. The Secretary shall also consider other alternatives for preservation, protection, and interpretation of the Site by Federal, State, or local government entities, or private and non-profit groups. The study shall be conducted in accordance with section 100507 of title 54, United States Code. Not later than three years after the date on which funds are made available to conduct the study, the Secretary shall submit a report to Congress that describes the results of the study and any recommendations of the Secretary.</text>
