			 to non-Department of Veterans Affairs health care providers certain
			 medical records of veterans who receive health care from such providers.</official-title></form>
	<legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="H036FE3A3213A4108A52D9AB929AD642D" style="OLC">
 <section id="H09B06BD7ED1D48F1845F17C93EAAF93B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Vet Connect Act of 2017</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="HE428825C038D4F36ACC6A24D4B19D19E" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Authority to disclose certain medical records of veterans who receive non-Department of Veterans Affairs health care</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 7332(b)(2) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H7FBEE8993EF543AF962B3AC027A7E51A" style="OLC">
 <subparagraph id="H8BB31BE69B824F72A2561032DE83A5BF" indent="up1"><enum>(H)</enum><clause commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H22EDB4C6F8744BDAA81946A64D0873D9"><enum>(i)</enum><text>To a non-Department entity (including private entities and other Federal agencies) that provides hospital care or medical treatment to veterans.</text>
 </clause><clause id="H576EB33D8CE942CCAEC9BDD86E4E5865" indent="up1"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An entity to which a record is disclosed under this subparagraph may not redisclose or use such record for a purpose other than that for which the disclosure was made.</text></clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
