 <section id="idF6B716620E2C4CC5B37D819F10B2BD49" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>GI Bill Fairness Act of 2017</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="idA7413E5E7A1D494A980300829F5099BC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Consideration of certain time spent receiving medical care from Secretary of Defense as active duty for purposes of eligibility for Post-9/11 Educational Assistance</header> <subsection id="id69E7E494336A4EB8A9CAF7D4AB1D69CB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 3301(1)(B) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by inserting <quote>12301(h),</quote> after <quote>12301(g),</quote>.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="idF92373657BA54C9E98686A0A8A6B2F4E"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Retroactive application</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply as if such amendment were enacted immediately after the enactment of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/110/252">Public Law 110–252</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
