        MEASURES PLACED ON THE CALENDAR--H.R. 1644 AND H.R. 1957

Mr. McCONNELL. Mr. President, I understand there are two bills at the
desk due for a second reading.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the bills by title for the
second time.
The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

A bill (H.R. 1644) to restore the open internet order of
     the Federal Communications Commission.
A bill (H.R. 1957) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of
1986 to modernize and improve the Internal Revenue Service,
     and for other purposes.

Mr. McCONNELL. In order to place the bills on the calendar under the
provisions of rule XIV, I would object to further proceeding, en bloc.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection having been heard, the bills will be
placed on the calendar.
