     NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS LONG-TERM LEGAL RESIDENTS RELIEF ACT

  Mr. McCONNELL. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate 
proceed to the immediate consideration of H.R. 559.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title.
  The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (H.R. 559) to amend section 6 of the Joint 
     Resolution entitled ``A Joint Resolution to approve the 
     Covenant To Establish a Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana 
     Islands in Political Union with the United States of America, 
     and for other purposes.

  There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
  Mr. McCONNELL. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the bill 
be considered read a third time.

  The bill was ordered to a third reading and was read the third time.

bill.
