of my constituents, Mr. Arnoldo ``Arnie'' Cabello.
Arnie proudly served in the Army and was stationed in Germany during
the Korean Defense. He was a loving husband and caring father. Mr.
Cabello will forever be remembered for his service to his nation and to
his community.
His perpetual selflessness, characterized by a life of service, began
with enlistment in the United States Army and continued through his
work for fellow service members with the Korean War Veterans
Association (KWVA 272), the Rockford Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the
American Legion.
Mr. Cabello exemplified public service by his community involvement,
participating in local government as a Trustee for Harlem Township,
membership in the Knights of Columbus, and as director of the Phantom
Regiment Cadets.
Arnie was a generous man that faithfully served his God, country, and
community. But most of all, Arnie loved his family. Madam Speaker, it
is a privilege for me to honor the life of this man on the floor of the
House of Representatives.
