                         MESSAGE FROM THE HOUSE

  At 11:20 a.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Mrs. Cole, one of its reading clerks, announced that pursuant to 
section

7221(b)(1)(A)(x) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal 
Year 2020 (Public Law 116-92), and the order of the House of January 3, 
2019, the Speaker appoints the following Member on the part of the 
House of Representatives to the Commission on Combating Synthetic 
Opioid Trafficking: Mr. Trone of Maryland.
  The message also announced that pursuant to section 7221(b)(1)(A)(x) 
of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 (Public 
Law 116-92), and the order of the House of January 3, 2019, the Speaker 
appoints the following individual on the part of the House of 
Representatives to the Commission on Combating Synthetic Opioid 
Trafficking: Admiral James Alexander Winnefeld of McLean, Virginia.
  The message further announced that pursuant to 22 U.S.C. 2761, and 
the order of the House of January 3, 2019, the Speaker appoints the 
following Member on the part of the House of Representatives to the 
British-American Interparliamentary Group: Mr. Kind of Wisconsin, 
Chair.


                   Enrolled Joint Resolutions Signed

  The President pro tempore (Mr. Grassley) announced that on today, May 
5, 2020, he has signed the following enrolled joint resolution, which 
was previously signed by the Speaker pro tempore (Mr. Beyer) of the 
House:

       S.J. Res. 68. Joint resolution to direct the removal of the 
     United States Armed Forces from hostilities against the 
     Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by 
     Congress.
