  Mr. THOMPSON of Mississippi. Madam Speaker, I rise today to honor a 
tenacious and determined man Mr. Terry Montgomery. Terry has shown what 
can be done through hard work, dedication and a desire to serve his 
country.
  1LT Terry Montgomery is a native of Anguilla, Mississippi and 
graduate of South Delta High School in Rolling Fork, MS. Terry received 
a 4-year Scholarship from the Army ROTC program to attend the 
University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
  During his years on the university's campus, Mr. Montgomery spent 
most of his time with the ROTC program. This interaction directly 
affected his development as an impactful leader and his ability to work 
well with others while building a cohesive environment. Terry was a 
member of the Golden Lion Football Team, Pronounced Leader for the ROTC 
Program and became a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc 
during his tenure at UAPB.
  1LT Terry Montgomery is currently serving as Commercial Vendor 
Services Chief in the United States Army. He is also an upcoming Power 
lifter and holds the title of Fort Riley's Powerlifting Champion. He is 
taking necessary steps become a Certified Personal Trainer with the 
goal to build a program that will help individuals live a healthier 
life through physical exercise and proper nutrition.
  Madam Speaker, I ask my colleagues to join me in recognizing Mr. 
Terry Montgomery for his passion and dedication to his country and 
desire to make a difference in the lives of others through physical 
fitness and proper nutrition.
