following concurrent resolution; which was referred to the Committee on
House Administration

CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Permitting the remains of the late Honorable Robert Joseph Dole,
formerly a Senator and a Representative from the State of Kansas, to
lie in honor in the rotunda of the Capitol, and for other purposes.
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring),
SECTION 1. HONORING THE LATE ROBERT JOSEPH DOLE.
(a) Permitting Remains To Lie in Honor in Rotunda of Capitol.--In
recognition of the long and distinguished service rendered to the
Nation by the Honorable Robert Joseph Dole, formerly a Senator and a
Representative from the State of Kansas, his remains shall be permitted
to lie in honor in the rotunda of the Capitol on December 9, 2021, and
the Architect of the Capitol, under the direction of the President pro
tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives,
shall take all necessary steps for the accomplishment of that purpose.
(b) Use of Catafalque.--The Architect of the Capitol is authorized
and directed to transfer the catafalque which is situated in the
Exhibition Hall of the Capitol Visitor Center to the rotunda of the
Capitol so that such catafalque may be used in connection with services
to be conducted there for the Honorable Robert Joseph Dole, formerly a
Senator and a Representative from the State of Kansas.
