                                 A BILL


 
 To prohibit the use of Federal funds for funeral expenses related to 
                   COVID-19, and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Stop Appropriations for Obsequy 
Costs Act'' or the ``Stop AOC Act''.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITING USE OF FEDERAL FUNDS FOR FUNERAL EXPENSES RELATED 
              TO COVID-19.

    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, including section 4006 
of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and section 408(e)(1) of the 
Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 
U.S.C. 5174(e)(1)), Federal funds may not be used to provide financial 
assistance to an individual or household for funeral expenses if the 
eligibility for such assistance is derived from a cause of death 
related to COVID-19.
