A BILL
To permit civil actions against employers for COVID-19 vaccination
mandates, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Mandating Responsibility Act''.
SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS.
In this Act:
(1) Covered employee.--The term ``covered employee'' means
an employee who is employed by an employer who imposes a COVID-
19 vaccine mandate.
(2) COVID-19 vaccine mandate.--The term ``COVID-19
vaccination mandate'' means a requirement of an employer that
an employee receives a COVID-19 vaccine.
SEC. 3. PRIVATE CAUSE OF ACTION FOR A COVID-19 VACCINATION MANDATE.
(a) In General.--Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a
covered employee may bring an action against an employer for--
(1) wrongful termination or any adverse employment action
for violating a COVID-19 vaccination mandate of the employer;
and
(2) wrongful death or serious physical injury caused by a
COVID-19 vaccination that such employee received for the sole
purpose of complying with the COVID-19 vaccination mandate of
the employer of such employee.
(b) Relief.--A prevailing plaintiff under subsection (a) may
recieve actual damages, compensatory damages, punitive damages,
injunctive relief, any combination of those, attorneys' fees and costs,
and any other appropriate relief.
