A BILL
To prohibit the Secretary of Homeland Security from enacting certain
alternative to detention programs for aliens, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``No Alternatives to Detention for
Illegals Act of 2022''.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON CERTAIN ALTERNATIVE TO DETENTION PROGRAMS.
Beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, no Federal
funds may be used by the Secretary of Homeland Security to enact any
program with respect to the use of a home curfew or other alternatives
to detention for an alien who is in the custody of the Secretary and
housed at an immigration detention center.
