A BILL
To amend title 10, United States Code, to eliminate the cap on
additional retired pay for extraordinary heroism for members of the
Army and Air Force who served during the Vietnam Era.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Bobby Moran Soldier's Medal
Retirement Act''.
SEC. 2. ELIMINATION OF CAP ON ADDITIONAL RETIRED PAY FOR EXTRAORDINARY
HEROISM FOR MEMBERS OF THE ARMY AND AIR FORCE WHO SERVED
DURING THE VIETNAM ERA.
Title 10, United States Code, is amended--
(1) in section 1402(f)(2), by striking ``The amount'' and
inserting ``Except in the case of a member who served during
the Vietnam Era (as that term is defined in section 12731 of
this title), the amount'';
(2) in section 7361(a)(2), by inserting ``(except in the
case of a member who served during the Vietnam Era, as that
term is defined in section 12731 of this title)'' after
``based''; and
(3) in section 9361(a)(2), by inserting ``(except in the
case of a member who served during the Vietnam Era, as that
term is defined in section 12731 of this title)'' after
``based''.
