A BILL
To amend the Foreign Service Act of 1980 to revise the terminology used
to prohibit discrimination against people with disabilities serving in
the Foreign Service.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Dignity for People with Disabilities
in the Foreign Service Act''.
SEC. 2. DIGNITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES SERVING IN THE FOREIGN
SERVICE.
The Foreign Service Act of 1980 is amended--
(1) in paragraph (2) of section 101(b) (22 U.S.C. 3901(b)),
by striking ``handicapping condition'' and inserting
``disability'';
(2) in section 105 (22 U.S.C. 3905), by striking
``handicapping condition'' each place it appears and inserting
``disability'';
(3) in subparagraph (A) of section 1002(11) (22 U.S.C.
4102(11)), by striking ``handicapping condition'' and inserting
``disability''; and
(4) in paragraph (4) of section 1015(b) (22 U.S.C.
4115(b)), by striking ``handicapping condition'' and inserting
``disability''.
