A BILL
To authorize the Secretary of the Army to conduct a feasibility study
for the project for constructing a dual jetty system at Oregon Inlet,
North Carolina, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Oregon Inlet Jetty Feasibility Study
Act of 2022''.
SEC. 2. FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR DUAL JETTY SYSTEM AT OREGON INLET, NORTH
CAROLINA.
(a) Feasibility Study.--Not later than eight months after the date
of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Army, in
coordination with the Secretary of Defense, shall conduct a feasibility
study on constructing a dual jetty system at Oregon Inlet, North
Carolina.
(b) Report.--Not later than one year after the date of the
enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to
Congress a report containing--
(1) the results of the study conducted under subsection
(a); and
(2) recommendations for any necessary modifications to law
to remove any impediments identified in such study.
