                                 A BILL


 
 To repeal the methane emissions and waste reduction incentive program 
                 for petroleum and natural gas systems.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Protecting the Permian Basin Act of 
2022''.

SEC. 2. REPEAL.

    Section 136 of the Clean Air Act (relating to methane emissions and 
waste reduction incentive program for petroleum and natural gas 
systems) is repealed.
