  Mr. Mfume (for himself and Ms. Van Duyne) introduced the following 
bill; which was referred to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs, and in 
    addition to the Committee on Small Business, for a period to be 
subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration 
  of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee 
                               concerned

  To extend the transfer date for the verification of small business 
concerns owned and controlled by veterans or service-disabled veterans 
                 to the Small Business Administration.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``VA-SBA Extension Act of 2022''.

SEC. 2. EXTENSION OF TRANSFER DATE FOR THE VERIFICATION OF SMALL 
              BUSINESS CONCERNS OWNED AND CONTROLLED BY VETERANS OR 
              SERVICE-DISABLED VETERANS TO THE SMALL BUSINESS 
              ADMINISTRATION.

    Section 862(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal 
Year 2021 (Public Law 116-283; 15 U.S.C. 657f) is amended by striking 
``means'' and all that follows through the period at the end and 
inserting ``means January 1, 2024.''.
