To amend title 38, United States Code, to extend to certain members of 
 the Armed Forces eligibility to transfer unused Post-9/11 educational 
                     assistance to family members.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. EXTENSION TO CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES ELIGIBILITY 
              TO TRANSFER UNUSED POST-9/11 EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE TO 
              FAMILY MEMBERS.

    Section 3319(b) of title 38, United States Code, is amended--
            (1) in paragraph (1), by striking ``or'' at the end;
            (2) by redesignating paragraph (2) as paragraph (3); and
            (3) by inserting before paragraph (3), as redesignated, the 
        following:
            ``(2) 12 years of service in the Armed Forces; or''.
                                 <all>
