To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to make inadmissible past 
 representatives or members of terrorist organizations, and for other 
                               purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Preventing Terrorist Entry Act of 
2022''.

SEC. 2. INADMISSIBILITY OF PAST REPRESENTATIVES OR MEMBERS OF TERRORIST 
              ORGANIZATIONS.

    Section 212(a)(3)(B)(i) (8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(3)(B)(i)) of the 
Immigration and Nationality Act is amended--
            (1) in subclause (IV) (in the matter preceding item (aa)), 
        by inserting ``or has been'' before ``a representative'';
            (2) in subclause (V), by inserting the term ``or has been'' 
        before ``a member''; and
            (3) in subclause (VI), by inserting the term ``or has 
        been'' before ``a member''.
