Of inquiry directing the Administrator of the Small Business
Administration to transmit certain documents to the House of
Representatives relating to the designation of the Small Business
Administration as a voter registration agency.

Mr. Luetkemeyer submitted the following resolution; which was referred
to the Committee on House Administration, and in addition to the
Committee on Small Business, for a period to be subsequently determined
by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as
fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

RESOLUTION
Of inquiry directing the Administrator of the Small Business
Administration to transmit certain documents to the House of
Representatives relating to the designation of the Small Business
Administration as a voter registration agency.
Resolved, That the Administrator of the Small Business
Administration is directed to transmit to the House of Representatives,
not later than 14 days after the date of the adoption of this
resolution, copies of any document, memorandum, correspondence, and
other communication or any portion of any such communication, that
refers or relates to the Small Business Administration seeking
designations under section 7(a)(1) of the National Voter Registration
Act (52 U.S.C. 20506(a)(1)) to perform voter registration activities,
including the following:
(1) Any documents and communications related to the
decision of the Administrator to seek such designations.
(2) Any application materials submitted by the
Administration for such a designation.
(3) Any documents and communications related to identifying
or explaining the statutory authorities under which the
Administration may carry out voter registration activities
pursuant to such a designation.
(4) Any documents and communications related to identifying
or explaining the statutory authorities under which the
Administration may share information relating to an election
with any individual or entity outside of the Administration.
(5) Any documents and communications referencing the
mission of the Administration and the decision of the
Administrator to seek such a designation.
(6) Any documents and communications related to the funding
required for the Administration to carry out voter registration
activities pursuant to such designations.
(7) Any documents and communications related to third-party
organizations assisting the Administration with carrying out
voter registration activities pursuant to such a designation.
(8) Any documents and communications related to State
officials assisting the Administration with carrying out voter
registration activities pursuant to such a designation.
(9) Any documents and communications related to requests
from specific States to the Administrator for the
Administration to carry out voter registration activities
pursuant to a designation by such State under section 7(a)(1)
of the National Voter Registration Act (52 U.S.C. 20506(a)(1)).
(10) Any documents and communications related to
consideration of the subchater III of chapter 73 of title 5,
United States Code, with respect to such a designation and
training implemented by the Administration to safeguard against
violations of such subchapter when carrying out voter
registration activities pursuant to such a designation.
