                               RESOLUTION


 
     Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that two 
 consecutive quarters of negative growth in gross domestic product, as 
 reported by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, constitutes a recession.

    Resolved, That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that 
two consecutive quarters of negative growth in gross domestic product, 
as reported by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, constitutes a 
recession.
