                                 AN ACT


 
To amend title 49, United States Code, to eliminate the restriction on 
   veterans concurrently serving in the Offices of Administrator and 
      Deputy Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. REMOVAL OF RESTRICTION ON VETERANS CONCURRENTLY SERVING IN 
              THE OFFICES OF ADMINISTRATOR AND DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR OF 
              THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION.

    Section 106(d)(1) of title 49, United States Code, is amended by 
striking ``, a retired regular officer of an armed force, or a former 
regular officer of an armed force''.
