A BILL
To amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973 to require congressional
approval of certain actions, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL OF CERTAIN ACTIONS.
Section 4(a) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C.
1533(a)) is amended by adding at the end the following:
``(4) A listing, removal from a list, or change in status
of any species under this subsection shall take effect upon
enactment of a congressional joint resolution of approval.''.
