                                 A BILL


 
  To ensure that mental and behavioral health education and training 
grants awarded under section 756(a)(4) of the Public Health Service Act 
 may be used for training to increase skills and capacity to meet the 
     needs of children and adolescents who have experienced trauma.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Helping Kids Through Trauma Act''.

SEC. 2. USE OF GRADUATE PSYCHOLOGY EDUCATION PROGRAM FUNDS.

    Section 756(a)(4) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 294e-
1(a)(4)) is amended by inserting ``, including training to increase 
skills and capacity to meet the needs of children and adolescents who 
have experienced trauma'' before the period at the end.
