 To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to make available video 
       conferencing for NEXUS applicants, and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``NEXUS Improvement Act''.

SEC. 2. DHS VIDEO CONFERENCING FOR NEXUS APPLICANTS.

    (a) In General.--Not later than 45 days after the date of the 
enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Homeland Security, 
notwithstanding any other provision of law, shall make available video 
conferencing for applicants for NEXUS enrollments and renewals.
    (b) Clarification.--The requirement under subsection (a) shall not 
affect the authority of the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct 
biometric screenings of or collect fingerprints from applicants 
described in subsection (a).
