A BILL
To amend title 18, United States Code, to require the United States
Secret Service to reimburse States and units of local government for
support in the form of the use of services, personnel, equipment, and
facilities, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Secret Service-Local Law Enforcement
Partnership Act''.
SEC. 2. REIMBURSEMENT OF STATES AND UNITS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FOR THE
USE OF SERVICES, PERSONNEL, EQUIPMENT, AND FACILITIES.
Section 3056 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding
at the end the following:
``(h) In carrying out paragraphs (1) through (8) of subsection (a),
the Secretary of Homeland Security--
``(1) may use the services, personnel, equipment, and
facilities of a State or unit of local government, with the
consent of such State or unit of local government; and
``(2) shall reimburse such State or unit of local
government for the use of such services, personnel, equipment,
and facilities.''.
