                                 A BILL


 
 To amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to ensure 
access of Armed Forces recruiters to secondary school campuses, and for 
                            other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Ensuring Military Recruitment Access 
Act''.

SEC. 2. ARMED FORCES RECRUITER ACCESS.

    (a) Campus Access.--Section 8528(a)(3) of the Elementary and 
Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 7908(a)(3)) is amended by 
inserting ``(including access to the campus of such secondary school) 
for the same amount of time'' after ``secondary school students''.
    (b) Notification Requirement.--Section 8528(b) of the Elementary 
and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 7908(b)) is amended to 
read as follows:
    ``(b) Notification.--The Secretary, in consultation with the 
Secretary of Defense, shall, not later than 120 days after the date of 
the enactment of this subsection and annually thereafter, notify school 
leaders, school administrators, and other educators about--
            ``(1) the requirements of this section; and
            ``(2) actions that may be taken to enforce the requirements 
        of this section.''.
