                                 A BILL


 
    To require the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and 
  Prevention to accelerate the collection and publication of data on 
                      suicide and drug overdoses.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Publish Overdose and Suicide 
Tracking For American Safety Today Act of 2023'' or the ``POST FAST Act 
of 2023''.

SEC. 2. ACCELERATED COLLECTION AND PUBLICATION OF DATA ON SUICIDE AND 
              DRUG OVERDOSES.

    The Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 
shall--
            (1) take such actions as may be necessary to accelerate the 
        collection by the Centers of data on suicide and drug overdoses 
        in the United States; and
            (2) not later than 60 days after the end of each month, 
        publish such data for such month.
