A BILL
To reauthorize the Helen Keller National Center Act.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Helen Keller National Center
Reauthorization Act of 2023''.
SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS TO THE HELEN KELLER NATIONAL CENTER ACT.
(a) Authorization of Appropriations.--Section 205(a) of the Helen
Keller National Center Act (20 U.S.C. 1904(a)) is amended by striking
``fiscal years 1999 through 2003'' and inserting ``fiscal years 2024
through 2028''.
(b) Definitions.--Section 206(2)(B) of the Helen Keller National
Center Act (29 U.S.C. 1905(2)(B)) is amended by striking ``or obtaining
vocational objectives'' and inserting ``or obtaining competitive
integrated employment (as defined in section 3 of the Workforce
Innovation and Opportunity Act (29 U.S.C. 3102))''.
(c) Construction of Act; Effect on Agreements.--Section 207 of the
Helen Keller National Center Act (29 U.S.C. 1906) is amended by
striking ``the Helen Keller Services for the Blind, Incorporated'' and
inserting ``Helen Keller Services''.
(d) Helen Keller National Center Federal Endowment Program.--
Section 208(h) of the Helen Keller National Center Act (29 U.S.C.
1907(h)) is amended by striking ``fiscal years 1999 through 2003'' and
inserting ``fiscal years 2024 through 2028''.
