A BILL
To make technical corrections relating to the Justice Against Sponsors
of Terrorism Act.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Ensuring Justice for Victims of
Terrorism Act''.
SEC. 2. FOREIGN STATES.
Section 1605B(c) of title 28, United States Code, is amended by
inserting ``2333(d)(1) or'' after ``Notwithstanding section''.
SEC. 3. EXECUTION OF JUDGMENTS.
Section 1610 of title 28, United States Code, is amended--
(1) in subsection (a)(7), by striking ``section 1605A or
section 1605(a)(7) (as such section was in effect on January
27, 2008)'' and inserting ``section 1605(a)(7) (as in effect on
January 27, 2008), 1605A, or 1605B''; and
(2) in subsection (b)(3), by striking ``by virtue of
section 1605A of this chapter or section 1605(a)(7) of this
chapter (as such section was in effect on January 27, 2008)''
and inserting ``under section 1605(a)(7) (as in effect on
January 27, 2008), 1605A, or 1605B''.
SEC. 4. DEFINITION OF NATIONAL OF THE UNITED STATES.
Section 2331(2) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by
inserting ``, and including, for purposes of section 2333, any entity
organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction
within the United States'' before the semicolon at the end.
SEC. 5. APPLICABILITY.
The amendments made by this Act shall apply to any civil action
pending on, or commenced on or after, the date of the enactment of this
Act.
