 introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on 
                      Education and the Workforce

                                 A BILL


 
   To amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 with 
   respect to prohibited uses of funds under such Act, and for other 
                               purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Protecting Hunting and Archery in 
Schools Act of 2023''.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITED USES OF FUNDS.

    Section 8526 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 
(20 U.S.C. 7906) is amended--
            (1) in paragraph (5), by adding ``or'' at the end;
            (2) in paragraph (6), by striking ``; or'' at the end and 
        inserting a period; and
            (3) by striking paragraph (7).
