Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Original Open for Business Act of 2023''. SEC. 2. DEPOSITORY INSTITUTION HOURS. (a) In General.--Beginning on the date that is 180 days after the date of the enactment of this section, each branch location of a depository institution with in-person customer service shall remain open for business (except on a Federal holiday)-- (1) until 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday; and (2) for a minimum of 4 hours on Saturday. (b) Depository Institution Defined.--In this section, the term ``depository institution'' shall have the meaning given the term in section 3 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. <all>
