A BILL
To amend section 3702 of title 10, United States Code, to reduce the
dollar threshold for requiring certified cost and pricing data, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. REDUCE THRESHOLD FOR CERTIFIED COST AND PRICING DATA.
(a) In General.--Section 3702 of title 10, United States Code, is
amended--
(1) in subsection (a)--
(A) by striking ``$2,000,000'' each place it
appears and inserting ``$750,000''; and
(B) in paragraph (1), by striking ``contract if''
and all that follows and inserting the following:
``contract if the price of the contract to the United
States is expected to exceed $750,000.''; and
(2) by repealing subsection (f).
(b) Modification of Prior Contracts.--Under subsection (a) of 3702
of title 10, United States Code, in connection with a prime contract
with respect to which such subsection applies and that was entered into
before the date of the enactment of this Act, the head of the agency
that entered into such contract shall modify the contract as soon as
practicable to reflect paragraphs (2) and (3) of such subsection, as
amended by subsection (a) of this Act, without requiring consideration.
(c) Applicability.--The amendments made by subsection (a) of this
Act to paragraph (1) of section 3702(a) of title 10, United States
Code, shall apply only with respect to contracts entered into after the
date of the enactment of this Act.
