To amend the Trade Act of 1974 to exempt from the Generalized System of 
       Preferences certain tire articles, and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. EXCLUSION OF IMPORT-SENSITIVE TIRE ARTICLES.

    Section 503(b)(1) of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2463(b)(1)) 
is amended--
            (1) by redesignating subparagraph (G) as subparagraph (H); 
        and
            (2) by inserting after subparagraph (F) the following new 
        subparagraph:
                    ``(G) Import-sensitive tire articles.''.
