                                 A BILL


 
To direct the Director of the United States Secret Service to implement 
   a uniform fitness standard for Secret Service Special Agents and 
                      Uniformed Division Officers.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Secret Service Readiness Act of 
2024''.

SEC. 2. IMPLEMENTATION OF A UNIFORM FITNESS STANDARD FOR SECRET SERVICE 
              SPECIAL AGENTS AND UNIFORMED DIVISION OFFICERS.

    (a) In General.--Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment 
of this Act, the Director of the Secret Service shall implement sex-
neutral fitness evaluation standards for Secret Service Special Agents 
and Uniformed Division Officers. These standards may not be lower than 
the existing fitness standards for male applicants or current agents 
and officers.
    (b) Report to Congress.--Not later than 180 days after the 
enactment of this Act, the Director of the Secret Service shall submit 
to the Committee on Homeland Security of the House of Representatives 
and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the 
Senate a report regarding the implementation of these standards.
