A BILL
To amend title 10, United States Code, to prohibit Department of
Defense special Government employees from obligating or expending
Federal funds while carrying out their official duties, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Preventing Corruption in Advisory
Roles Act''.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITING DOD SPECIAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES FROM SPENDING
FEDERAL FUNDS.
(a) In General.--Chapter 81 of title 10, United States Code, is
amended by inserting after section 1589 the following:
``Sec. 1590. Prohibition on special Government employees from
obligations or expending Federal funds
``Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a special Government
employee (as that term is defined in section 202(a) of title 18)
occupying a position in the Department of Defense may not, while
carrying out the official duties of the employee's position, obligate
or expend any Federal funds.''.
(b) Clerical Amendment.--The table of sections for such chapter is
amended by inserting after the item relating to section 1589 the
following:
``1590. Prohibition on special Government employees from obligations or
expending Federal funds.''.
