RESOLUTION
Honoring the BAPS Hindu-American community and the 50th Anniversary of
its Mandir in Flushing, New York.
Whereas the Bochansanwasi Akshar Purushottom Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) is a
pillar of the Hindu-American community, providing spiritual guidance,
community service, and cultural enrichment;
Whereas BAPS has grown to an international movement with millions of followers,
dedicated to the pillars of practical spirituality and Hindu values,
traditions, and charitable activities;
Whereas the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Flushing, New York, was established
50 years ago and has since become a beacon of faith, culture, and
community service in the region;
Whereas the Mandir has served as a place of worship, education, and cultural
preservation, offering various programs and services to individuals of
all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs;
Whereas the BAPS community has consistently contributed to society by
participating in civil society organizations, interfaith dialogues,
health fairs, educational programs, and disaster relief efforts;
Whereas the dedication and commitment of the BAPS volunteers and devotees have
positively impacted the lives of countless individuals, fostering a
sense of unity, compassion, and service; and
Whereas the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan
Mandir in Flushing, New York, is a significant milestone that reflects
the enduring legacy and contributions of the BAPS Hindu-American
community: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
(1) honors the BAPS Hindu-American community for its
contributions to the spiritual, cultural, and social fabric of
the United States;
(2) commends the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Flushing,
New York, on its 50th anniversary and acknowledges its role in
fostering community service, cultural preservation, and
spiritual enrichment;
(3) recognizes the dedication and efforts of the BAPS
volunteers and devotees who have served the community and
upheld the values of compassion, unity, and service; and
(4) expresses its best wishes for the continued growth,
prosperity, and success of the BAPS Hindu-American community
and the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Flushing, New York.
