 Calling on the Judicial Conference of the United States to authorize
  that the trial of former President Donald J. Trump for his alleged
  crimes related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his
role in the January 6, 2021, insurrection be broadcast to the American
                                public.

Whereas former President Donald J. Trump knowingly spread misinformation to
        deceive the American public about the results of the 2020 presidential
        election;

        results of the 2020 presidential election by using knowingly false
        claims of election fraud;

        election have been refuted by a variety of judges, State election
        officials, and the Department of Homeland Security;
Whereas on January 6, 2021, former President Donald J. Trump led a violent
        insurrection on the United States Capitol in which a pro-Trump mob
        breached the Capitol, leaving 5 dead and many more wounded due to the
        violence he incited;
Whereas on August 1, 2023, former President Donald J. Trump was indicted by a
        grand jury for alleged crimes related to his efforts to overturn the
        2020 election and his role in the January 6 insurrection; and
Whereas the 4-count indictment charges former President Donald J. Trump with
        conspiring to defraud the United States, conspiring to obstruct an
        official proceeding, attempting to obstruct an official proceeding, and
        conspiring against people's civil right to have their vote counted: Now,
        therefore, be it
    Resolved, That the House of Representatives calls on the Judicial
Conference of the United States to authorize that the trial of former
President Donald J. Trump for his alleged crimes related to his efforts
to overturn the 2020 election and his role in the January 6, 2021,
insurrection be broadcast to the American public.
