                               RESOLUTION


 
    Electing Representative Patrick T. McHenry Speaker pro tempore.

    Resolved, That the Honorable Patrick T. McHenry, a Representative 
from the State of North Carolina, be, and he is hereby, elected Speaker 
pro tempore for not longer than November 17, 2023, or until a new 
Speaker is elected, whichever is earlier.
    Sec. 2.  The Clerk of the House shall notify the President and the 
Senate of the election of the Honorable Patrick T. McHenry as Speaker 
pro tempore during the absence of the Speaker.
