                               RESOLUTION

 Honoring the American and Israeli civilians murdered and unaccounted
             for in the brutal attacks by Hamas terrorists.

Whereas, on the morning of October 7, 2023, during Simchat Torah, Hamas
        terrorists launched inhumane attacks on Israeli civilians eerily similar
        to those by ISIS;
Whereas Hamas terrorists crossed the land border and began slaughtering Israelis
        and abducting hostages in Southern Israel;
Whereas Hamas has committed war crimes in targeting and killing innocent
        civilians, including unarmed women, children, and the elderly;
Whereas Hamas terrorists targeted innocent civilians in their homes and at
        public gatherings;
Whereas Hamas is a United States-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization;
Whereas dozens of Americans have been killed by the attacks carried out by
        Hamas;
Whereas thousands of Israeli civilians were murdered or wounded; and
Whereas hundreds of American and Israeli civilians remain unaccounted for and
        are possibly being held hostage by Hamas: Now, therefore, be it
    Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
            (1) condemns Hamas' brutal attacks against Israel;
            (2) sympathizes and stands with the families of those held
        hostage or murdered during the savage attacks by Hamas; and
            (3) stands adjourned in honor of those murdered and
        unaccounted for.
