                                 A BILL


 
 To require Federal agencies to notify States and localities whenever 
  transporting migrants from locations within 100 miles of the United 
                 States border to their jurisdictions.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLES.

    This Act may be cited as the ``National Oversight of Transported 
Immigrants to Communities is Essential Act'' or the ``NOTICE Act''.

SEC. 2. NOTIFICATION REQUIREMENT.

    (a) In General.--The Secretary of Homeland Security and the 
Secretary of Health and Human Services shall notify the governor of a 
State and the chief executive officer of a unit of local government in 
such State of any alien that is being transported by the Department of 
Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services, or 
another entity receiving Federal funding for such transportation, from 
a location within 100 miles of the United States border to such State 
and local jurisdiction before such transportation occurs.
    (b) Information To Be Included.--Each notification made pursuant to 
subsection (a) shall include--
            (1) for each transported alien--
                    (A) his or her legal name, country of origin, age, 
                and sex;
                    (B) any crimes for which such alien has been 
                convicted; and
                    (C) any criminal gang with which such alien is or 
                has been affiliated; and
            (2) the types of security screenings that have been 
        performed with respect to such aliens.
