 read twice and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor,

                                 A BILL


 
To amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 regarding the application 
 of wage and hour provisions to minor league baseball players, and for 
                            other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Fair Ball Act''.

SEC. 2. APPLICATION OF THE FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT OF 1938 TO MINOR 
              LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS.

    Section 13(a)(19) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (29 
U.S.C. 213(a)(19)) is amended by striking ``a contract'' and all that 
follows through the period at the end and inserting ``an unexpired 
collective bargaining agreement.''.
