introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means, and in addition to the Committee on Energy and
Commerce, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in
each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the
jurisdiction of the committee concerned

A BILL
To prohibit the Secretary of Health and Human Services from
implementing, administering, or enforcing provisions relating to
minimum staffing standards for long-term care facilities and Medicaid
institutional payment transparency reporting.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Protecting America's Seniors' Access
to Care Act''.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION.
Beginning on the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of
Health and Human Services shall not implement, administer, or enforce
the provisions of the final rule published by the Centers for Medicare
& Medicaid Services in the Federal Register on May 10, 2024, and titled
``Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Minimum Staffing Standards for Long-
Term Care Facilities and Medicaid Institutional Payment Transparency
Reporting'' (89 Fed. Reg. 40876) or any substantially similar
regulation.
